Just in time for autumn! This was my most ambitious collection to date, and I'm so pleased with how the journals came out. Please welcome The Flora & Fauna Collection.

Each journal features a unique hard cover repurposed from a Reader's Digest Condensed Book. These books are usually quite frequently available at thrift stores and estate sales, and some of the covers are so lovely. These three are from 1977, 1976, and 1955 respectively. They all have coffee stained pages, lace and stitching accents, vintage sheet music, vintage sewing patterns, vintage gardening book pages, vintage bird field guide pages, and other patterned and lined pages. All three journals are decorated with metal corner covers to protect the outside. These journals were also photographed on a different background than usual. I really wanted the vintage and autumn themes to come out, and the dark wood is so rustic and warm.

Here is a sample of the interiors:

While each journal contains the same amount of pages from the exact same books, they each have a slightly different theme and color palette. There are only three Reader's Digest journals to start with, but I'm hoping to be able to add a few more soon.

In addition to these three junk journals, two new journal kits were added today (and two new digital download printables will be available by the end of the weekend!). These items have many of the same themes and elements of the Flora & Fauna Collection, and the kits and printables supplement the junk journals well. Each of the physical kits feature vintage pieces and blank postcards. The digital packs are comprised of postcards: backs, watercolor sets (fronts and backs), and B&W photograph sets.
