This past month I started working with polymer clay. I came across a blog post by A Beautiful Mess and loved the idea. The dishes were so fresh and flowing. So I decided to try some myself.

Polymer clay is so versatile and accessible--nearly anyone can pick up some clay and mold it into something creative. The only things I did differently than the tutorial were using metallic acrylic paint instead of gold leaf, leaving the finished dishes un-glossed, and adding stamped/painted words to a select few. I also blended the clay slightly differently, as I wanted to use less colors and their method wasn't marbling as finely as I had hoped.

I'm not sure at the moment how many more catch-all dishes I'll be making, but for now they're just too much fun to stop. All of the catch-all dishes are available for purchase on Etsy.
