New Work Space!

I finally bought a large desk (as large as I can manage in my current residence) for craft projects and office work! I also rearranged some things and added a shelf, magnetic chalkboard, and a small supply bookcase in my work area. I haven't done any major projects yet, but the extra space has been great overall. The height is also perfect for sitting (eventually I may get a counter-height desk as well to stand at for more complicated projects).

The new furniture and accents also inspired me to clean out all of my craft supplies and reorganize them. All of my sale goods were finally able to go in individualized boxes per type (not pictured) and all of my materials were put with similar supplies (gray fabric "tubs" below).

Along with my simple remodeling I repainted my sewing cabinet. I've been obsessed with gray recently and painted a few other furniture items the same color. The cabinet was painted badly a few years ago and the top was covered in stains from mugs and who knows what else--white was a bad color choice. I was also able to update the hinges and drawer handles to a bright white to accent the piece better. Unfortunately the cabinet (I'm still keeping my machine here) will be going into storage for a while, but it's new look will make it seem like a brand new piece of furniture once I take it back out.

Cupcake-wielding Pusheen helps me keep on track with all of my projects.
